Recent Pregnancy Success Rates

We have the highest pregnancy rates in the Conejo Valley utilizing Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine for either natural conception or complementing IUI, IVF, and ART.

For the first 3 quarters of 2008, we have had 52 pregnancies - 45 singleton pregnancies, 6 twins, and one set of triplets! Of these pregnancies, 29 were with Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine alone, and 23 were with IVF or IUI. The patients ranged in age from 32 to 44 years old, with the greatest percentage being between 35 - 44 years of age. There were no ectopic pregnancies amongst any of these patients, and there were only 3 miscarriages. The rest are ongoing, healthy pregnancies.

Examples of the types of patients we've helped include the following:

• 43 year-old female with primary infertility who was ineligible for IVF due to elevated FSH levels and decreased basal antral follicle counts – conceived naturally after only 4 months of treatment with Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
• 34 year-old female who had attempted 5 cycles of IVF without success, and was diagnosed with anti-thyroid antibodies. After 3 months of treatment with Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, she conceived twins with her next IVF cycle and is well into her 3rd trimester.
• 41 year-old female who has failed 8 fresh cycles of IVF / ICSI – 4 standard cycles and four with lovenox and IVIG for immunologic infertility. She was down to 2 frozen embryos left from her last cycle that were to be transferred, and opted to give her body (and spirit) a rest from ART for 3-6 months before attempting the Frozen Embryo Transfer. After 4 months of treatment with Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine, she conceived naturally, and is carrying a healthy baby girl in her second trimester.
• 35 year-old male with significantly elevated DNA-Fragmentation Index (DFI) on his Sperm Chromatin Structural Assay (SCSA), who had failed two IVF / ICSI cycles with 31 year-old wife. After 3 months of Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, the 3rd IVF / ICSI was successful, and they will be having twins.
• Several Lesbian couples who have failed previous attempts at either IUI or IVF with donor semen, and who are now pregnant with either twins or singleton pregnancies.
• 43 year-old female with elevated FSH (18-25 mIU/mL), who was being treated with Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture to enhance her ovarian reserve in order to prepare for her last IVF cycle before giving up. Ended up conceiving a singleton girl naturally.
